The Patient is IN! (so visit him!)

umm... hi everybody! this is aubrey and i am kinda new at this whole blogging thing. i mean, i've done blogs before but not on this one. anyway, today i went an visited my dad and i have to say, it was really amazing how strong he is already! as i walked through the NICU (neurological (sp?) intensive care unit) there were people who couldn't even open their eyes but my dad was talking, eating, and he even got out of his bed to sit in a chair while he ate his lunch! the doctor also had GREAT news. my dad said that the doctor came into his room and he didn't stay very long or anything, but he did say that on the MRI scans, there was no sign of anything that would stop him from being able to use his left side again. my dad asked if they would have to do another surgery and the doc. said no!! we were really happy about that :)

My grandma, (Jeff's mom) is still here and will be staying here for a while. she is a LOT of help. without her i wouldn't have a life because i would be babysitting ALL the time! [thank you grandma :)]
my dad would also like everyone to know that he would like visitors because on Tuesday, my mom will have to be at work for a while, and he gets really bored when he's all alone; and the television channels aren't really the best so that doesn't help. unless my dad wants to watch the recovering patients channel on channel 29! ha ha. anyway, keep my dad & the rest of us in your prayers PLEASE!!!
lots of love,
aubrey dodd :)

Hi Jeff and Kelly (and Aubrey). It's Sean and Heather (Keslar) Stevens. Just wanted to let you know we've been following your progress.

I agree with Terri, Aubrey's blogs are much more colorful than her parents'!

We're so happy that you're doing well, Jeff. I'm convinced that your attitude towards fighting the cancer (along with the constant prayer you're receiving) is what is carrying you through this so well.

It sounds like things are very positive for you and that you should be home where you belong again soon.

We're thinking of you and praying for you in Omaha.

Great job on the blog, Aubrey. I bet your dad appreciates your help! It is so good to hear that he is doing well. The doctor's encouraging words were great too! We are continuing to pray for all of you through this tough time. It sounds like you are being very strong! I bet it is nice to be able to visit him more often than when he was in Houston! You being there with him is a great gift!

Hi Jeff and Family,
My name is Cathy and my family and some friends went to the fundraiser that Greg Koch had for you. Since then, I have been trying to keep up with your blog. I hadn't looked since June, so I was sorry to hear of the original bad news that somehow, through the grace of God, has turned out well.
Just wanted you to know that you and your family have been in our evening prayers since the fundraiser. I myself am a 5-year breast cancer survivor and I know how much prayer lifted me during the months of treatment and recovery. Please know that you all will continue to be in our prayers. Remember, when you only see one set of footprints, God has not abandoned you, He is carrying you.
Take care,
Cathy, Tim, Ryan and Sean Ledvina

Jeff and family,
I don't know if you realize how many people you have touched. Your faith and spirit is very inspirational. You have made people aware of melanoma. I have had 2 all over checks and on my last one, I had 3 suspious moles. They came back fine but it's because of you that I went in the first place. I have followed your blog since it started and will continue to do so. I wish you the best and know that your highschool friends are praying for you!!
